ACCOUNT CONTROLS

Manage sessions, data, and billing

Use the setup screen to resume saved work, remove StudyStride records and local evidence, review plan allowances, and open the billing portal.

Open or resume recent sessions

  1. Open StudyStride at the Start a session screen.

  2. Expand Recent sessions & data.

  3. Choose Refresh sessions if the list is not current.

  4. Choose Resume for an active session or Open for saved completed work.

A resumed session restores its saved workflow state and remains linked to its selected Google Doc. Opening a completed session lets you revisit available artifacts without creating a new capture.

Delete one saved session

  1. Expand Recent sessions & data.

  2. Find the session by its name, date, and selected document.

  3. Choose Delete and read the confirmation carefully.

  4. Confirm only if you want to remove the StudyStride session record and its locally retained audio and screenshots.

Session deletion is appropriate after you have verified any required exports and no longer need to resume or regenerate from the saved evidence.

Delete StudyStride account data

The Delete StudyStride account data control removes StudyStride server records for the signed-in owner and local retained evidence after confirmation.

  1. If you have a paid subscription, open Manage billing and cancel future renewal first. Data deletion is not a substitute for subscription cancellation.

  2. Download anything you are required to retain and verify the copies.

  3. Open Recent sessions & data and choose Delete StudyStride account data.

  4. Read and confirm the deletion warning.

  5. Delete separately created Google files from Drive if you also want those copies removed.

Understand what deletion does not remove

LocationExamplesHow to remove
StudyStride serverSession timeline, transcript events, AI runs, questions, approved artifacts, usage records.Delete the session or use the account-data deletion control, subject to required operational/legal records.
Chrome local storageRetained audio chunks, images, prepared local PDF.Delete individual local evidence, delete the session, or delete account data.
Your Google DriveOptional summary Doc, transcript Doc, audio backup, Capture Report PDF.Open Google Drive and delete each file there.
Your computerDownloaded TXT, Markdown, JPEG, PDF, and WAV files.Delete them using your operating system’s file controls.
Gemini NotebookSources manually added to a consumer notebook.Remove the source or notebook using Google’s notebook controls.
Exports are independent copies. StudyStride cannot silently delete files or notebook sources that remain under your Google account or on your computer.

Manage browser-local storage

Before capture, StudyStride estimates whether Chrome has enough capacity for the selected audio and visual retention. Long sessions and many screenshots use more local space.

Review your account and plan

  1. Open the setup screen and expand Account & plan.

  2. Review the current plan, captured-session allowance, completed-artifact allowance, and remaining usage shown for the period.

  3. Choose a monthly or annual Billing schedule when comparing available paid plans.

  4. Choose the displayed plan action to open Stripe Checkout. Verify the plan, schedule, amount, and account before completing payment.

StudyStride may prevent new processing after a published allowance or service safety limit. Existing saved sessions and artifacts remain available, and an active capture is not stopped solely because a billing boundary is reached.

Manage or cancel billing

  1. Expand Account & plan.

  2. Choose Change or cancel plan to open the Stripe Customer Portal.

  3. Use the portal to switch plans, change between monthly and annual billing, review invoices, update the payment method, or cancel future renewal.

  4. After returning to StudyStride, refresh the account section if the displayed status has not updated.

Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues through the paid period. Until that date, choose Change or renew plan to keep the subscription or move to another plan without waiting for the current period to expire. For billing problems, email admin@studystride.ai without including complete payment-card information.
